BIM Rising Star Award

Submissions now open from 8 January - 16 February 2024

This award acknowledges emerging contractors who have recently integrated technology into task and project completion. This recognition celebrates their commendable efforts in adopting technological advancements to enhance efficiency and achieve successful project outcomes, despite being in the early stages of incorporating such practices.

Program Details

Projects may be submitted for consideration by completing an Official Entry Form.

By participating in this Competition, each team shall make a registration to participate in this Competition, refer as the “Participating Team”, and each Team Member unconditionally accepts and agrees to comply with and abide by the Terms and Conditions in the Brief and the decisions of the Glodon Malaysia, which shall be final and binding in all respects.

Criteria

Upon entering, participants shall carefully review the specific entry requirements outlined by Glodon Malaysia to ensure that all necessary information is included and that the project aligns with the competition's focus and criteria. These are the main area to be showcased:

  1. Contest Briefing
    Participants; at least one representative from each team, need to attend the Contest Briefing (Online Mode).
  2. Project Submission
    Participants need to go through Glodon online training platform and answer the quiz, then submit the quiz result together with the TAS & TRB model.
  3. BIM Implementation Plan
    Clearly outline how BIM (Building Information Modeling) was utilized throughout the project lifecycle. Describe specific BIM tools, processes, and technologies employed to enhance collaboration, efficiency, and decision-making.
  4. Project Visualization
    Include visual representations of the BIM models, such as 3D renderings, simulations, and walkthroughs. These visuals can help judges and viewers better understand the project's complexity and design.
  5. Project Outcome and Results
    Present the overall outcomes and results achieved through the implementation of BIM. This could include improvements in project timelines, cost savings, enhanced collaboration, and any other measurable benefits.
  6. Challenges Overcome
    Describe any challenges or obstacles faced during the BIM implementation and how they were successfully addressed. Highlighting lessons learned can demonstrate adaptability and problem-solving skills.
